Client Care and Crisis  Support

At Awakened Therapy Center, we are deeply committed to holding a safe, consistent space for your long-term healing during our scheduled sessions. However, our practice operates on an appointment-only basis and is not equipped to function as a 24-hour crisis center.

Because our intern therapists and supervisors are often in sessions or away from their phones, we cannot guarantee an immediate response to urgent calls, emails, or texts outside of your regular appointment times.

If you find yourself in the middle of an intense emotional wave, a mental health emergency, or a crisis while we are unavailable, please do not wait for us to respond. Reach out immediately to one of the free, confidential, community-first resources below. They are staffed 24/7 by trained professionals ready to support your nervous system in real-time.

Mental Health Alternatives to Traditional Emergency Services

Colorado Crisis Services (Mobile Response Teams)

If you are in a self-defined crisis and need someone to come to you, Colorado has mobile crisis teams composed entirely of mental health professionals—not law enforcement.

  • Call: 1-844-493-8255

  • Text: “TALK” to 38255

  • Website: coloradocrisisservices.org

  • How it works: When you call, a trained clinician will talk you down. If an in-person evaluation is needed, they can dispatch an unarmed Mobile Crisis Team directly to your home or location to help de-escalate, safety-plan, and support you in real-time.

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

  • Call or Text: 988

  • Website: 988lifeline.org

  • How it works: The standard for mental health support. Free, confidential care available via a simple phone call or text message anywhere in the United States. It connects you immediately to a compassionate, trained counselor.

24/7 Face-to-Face Walk-In Crisis Centers

If you need to get out of your current environment and speak with a clinician in person, you can bypass a traditional hospital emergency room entirely by visiting a community behavioral health urgent care center.

  • Boulder County: Mental Health Partners Crisis Center — 3180 Airport Rd, Boulder, CO 80301 (Open 24/7/365, no turn-aways based on ability to pay).

  • Denver Metro & Other Regions: You can view a live map of every specialized mental health walk-in clinic across the state via the Colorado Crisis Services Map.

Text-Only & Peer-Run Support Lines

The Crisis Text Line

  • Text: Text “HOME” to 741741

  • Best for: When speaking out loud feels like too much. This connects you via standard SMS text message to a live, trained crisis volunteer at any time of day or night.

Trans Lifeline

  • Call: 1-877-565-8860

  • Best for: Peer-to-peer support. This hotline is entirely run by trans individuals for trans, non-binary, and questioning peers who need a safe space to process without fear of unwanted intervention.

The Trevor Project (LGBTQIA+ Youth)

  • Call: 1-866-488-7386

  • Text: Text “START” to 678-678

  • Best for: Safe, affirming, and highly trained crisis intervention for LGBTQ+ young people

A Note for Our Active Clients:

While the team at Awakened Therapy Center is deeply committed to your long-term healing, our clinicians and interns do not provide 24-hour crisis coverage. If you experience a mental health emergency outside of your scheduled session time, please utilize the community-first resources listed above to support your nervous system until your next appointment.
